Second-annual G96 men’s event raises $650,000+

IMG_0209More than 200 North Texans attended a G96 men’s group fundraiser Feb. 6 to benefit women and children leaving a crisis at The Gatehouse. Donations during the Super Bowl pre-party totaled $650,000+, including a matching grant from Amon G. Carter Foundation.

All proceeds will directly support The Gatehouse’s Adopt-a-Family campaign. Thirty-eight women and 59 children are currently members of the supportive living community located in Grapevine, Texas, and another 60 families will be added in 2016 until The Gatehouse reaches its 96-family capacity.

Dr. Angela Bowers & Southlake Dermatology

In addition to giving $70,000 to support a family through their full stay at The Gatehouse, Dr. Angela Bowers and the Southlake Dermatology staff have committed to becoming Gatehouse Friends, walking along side the family as they journey through the Independent Life Program. Dr. Bowers and the staff will also offer all Gatehouse women & children free courses on skin care and make-up application, as well as provide select skin treatments.
